Jennifer Haylett is an Associate Professor of Instruction and Director of Undergraduate Studies for Sociology at the University of Iowa’s Department of Sociology, housed within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD from the University of California-Davis and specializes in gender, family dynamics, medical sociology, and qualitative research methods. Her research focuses on relational work in contexts like commercial surrogacy and the valuation of family formation processes in assisted reproductive technologies.
