Dr. Jennifer Hamrick is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for the Applied Behavior Analysis graduate program at Texas Tech University's College of Education. With over 23 years of experience in special education, she holds a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph's University, and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University.
Her research focuses on Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Validity, Special Education Law, and interventions for severe challenging behaviors, particularly in autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Hamrick's work emphasizes staff training efficacy and treatment integrity in educational settings.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on autism interventions across the lifespan, with recent expansion into global disability services and adult transition programming. Research trends show progression from foundational behavior analysis techniques to complex applications in sexuality education, workforce development, and cross-cultural implementation.
