Dr. Jennifer Frost is an Adjunct Associate Professor at La Trobe University's Department of Management, Sport and Tourism within the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Commerce. Her academic background includes a PhD from La Trobe University, an MBA from Durham University, and an LLB (Hons) from Melbourne University. She holds editorial roles as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Heritage Tourism and co-editor of the Routledge Advances in Events Research series, alongside affiliations as a Visiting Professor at Sheffield Hallam University and Fellow of the Institute for Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage.
Her research focuses on travel narratives, event tourism, and rural regeneration through tourism, with interdisciplinary connections to sociology and environmental studies. A thematic analysis of her publications reveals strong emphasis on cultural heritage, sustainability, and social justice in tourism, particularly exploring gender dynamics, community resilience, and transformative travel experiences.
