Jennifer Faber

PD Dr. Jennifer Faber serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Bonn's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Center for Neurology's Department of Parkinson, Sleep and Movement Disorders. Since March 2024, she has directed the Ataxia Ambulance, which earned designation as an "Ataxia Center of Excellence" by the National Ataxia Foundation in 2023—the first and only European center outside UCL London to receive this recognition.

Her interdisciplinary approach bridges clinical neurology with advanced imaging, targeting neurodegenerative disease mechanisms and therapeutic innovation.

Her contributions are honored by the Pioneer SCA3 Translational Research Award (2024) and the Hertie Foundation's "Network of Excellence in Clinical Neuroscience" fellowship, reflecting significant impact in translational neurology.

As head of the Ataxia Ambulance, Dr. Faber leads an integrated clinical-research hub providing specialized patient care while advancing ataxia biomarker discovery. The center's dual focus on immediate patient needs and long-term research exemplifies its "Center of Excellence" status through collaborative European partnerships.
