Jennifer Deacon

Jennifer Deacon, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. She joined the faculty in 2019 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology and Spanish (University of Wisconsin-Madison, with honors)
• Medical degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison (with research honors)
• Internal Medicine Residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center

Research & Clinical Interests: Focuses on quality improvement, public health, and effective provider communication with patients and families. Engaged in hospital medicine, emphasizing patient care and systemic efficiency.

Professional Memberships: Society of Hospital Medicine, American College of Physicians, Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association.

Personal Interests: Enjoys hiking, playing clarinet, and spending time with her Boston Terrier.
