Jennifer Crittenden

Jennifer Crittenden is an Assistant Professor and MSW Program Coordinator at the University of Maine's School of Social Work. She holds an Interdisciplinary PhD in Gerontology, an MSW, and a BA (with double major in Psychology and Child Development/Family Relations) from the University of Maine, where she graduated with high honors. Before joining the faculty, she served as Associate Director at UM's Center on Aging.

Her research examines volunteerism among older adults, technology-driven nutrition programs for chronic disease management, geriatrics education, and community leadership development. Current projects include:

• Evaluation Co-Director for technology-based nutrition program
• Principal Investigator for Lifelong Communities Fellows Project
• Project Director for Encore Leadership Program (since 2008)

She teaches courses in gerontology, social welfare policy, field education, and social work practice. Honors include multiple teaching and advocacy awards, reflecting her commitment to aging populations and educational excellence.
