Jennifer Casteix

Jennifer Casteix is a Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona (UA), affiliated with the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. She has been with the university since 2009, specializing in pediatric speech-language pathology and neurodevelopmental disorders. Her clinical expertise includes working with medically fragile children, autism spectrum disorder, and feeding/swallowing disorders in pediatric populations.

Education: B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara; M.S. from the University of Arizona.

Research focuses on interprofessional care in NICU/PICU settings, pediatric feeding interventions, and innovative educational programs for neurodivergent youth. She co-developed the Chemistry Can Be Fun STEAM initiative for adolescents with autism, recognized with awards. Active in professional organizations, she served as president of the Arizona Speech-Language-Hearing Association and chairs committees in healthcare and community service.

Awards include national and state recognition for her leadership during the pandemic and contributions to autism advocacy. She mentors graduate students in clinical settings and NSSLHA undergraduates, emphasizing clinical excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.
