Research Focus: Carr's research examines experimental writing practices in contemporary French literature, particularly works that challenge gender and sexual identity constructs through formal innovation. She is currently developing a book project analyzing how women writers use constrained writing techniques to explore materialist feminist perspectives. Her pedagogical approach integrates critical thinking with cultural analysis, emphasizing themes of globalization and identity in courses like Beginning French II (FREN102) and French Language, Literatures, and Cultures (FREN202).
