Jennifer Cannon

Jennifer Cannon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the College of Science and Mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from the Medical College of Georgia and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Dr. Cannon's research focuses on environmental contaminant impacts on reproductive physiology and granulosa cell function. Her work examines how compounds like Perfluorooctanoic Acid affect hormone receptor expression and cell viability.

Her recent publications reveal a consistent focus on endocrine disruption mechanisms, steroidogenesis, and molecular responses to environmental toxins. This includes studies on perfluoroalkyl substances and their effects on gene expression in reproductive tissues.
