معرفی
Jennifer Barredo is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (Research) at Brown University's Warren Alpert School of Medicine and a Research Scientist at the Center for Neurorestoration and Neurotechnology, VA Providence Health System. Her work focuses on neuroimaging-based investigations of suicide risk, emotional regulation disorders, and treatment responsiveness in psychiatric conditions.
- BS in Psychology (University of Washington, 2006)
- PhD in Neuroscience (Brown University, 2013)
- Postdoctoral Research Associate (Brown University, 2013-2014)
Research Interests: Dr. Barredo employs multimodal neuroimaging (fMRI, structural imaging) and machine learning to identify neural signatures of suicide risk, PTSD, and depression. Her work bridges basic neuroscience with clinical applications in veterans' mental health.
Publication Trends: Recent work examines functional connectivity in PTSD, glutamatergic biomarkers for TMS response, and neuromodulation targets derived from lesion studies. Collaborations with Noah Philip and others focus on veterans' suicide prevention.
Scientific Awards:
- VA Career Development-2 Award (2019-2023)
- Brain & Behavior Research Foundation Young Investigator (2020-2021)
- ACNP Senior Travel Award (2019)
Training & Collaborations: Director of the Clinical Neuroimaging Research Core, she collaborates across Brown's Psychiatry department and VA systems. Current projects integrate deep phenotyping with neuroimaging to optimize mental health interventions.
