معرفی
Jennifer Alexander-Brett is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pathology & Immunology at Washington University Medical Campus. She is affiliated with the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, Roy and Diana Vagelos Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences (DBBS), and the Bursky Center for Human Immunology & Immunotherapy Programs (CHiiPs). Her research bridges respiratory immunobiology and translational medicine.
Research Interests
Dr. Alexander-Brett investigates cytokine pathways, particularly focusing on IL-33 in lung epithelial stem cell function during chronic airway disease. Her work employs human airway specimens, mouse models, and molecular biology to explore intracellular/extracellular dynamics of dual-functioning cytokines. Clinically, she specializes in lung transplantation and critical care medicine, addressing chronic allograft rejection.
Recent Publications
Her recent studies highlight TREM2-ligand interactions in Alzheimer’s disease, IL-33 regulation in airway pathology, and extracellular vesicle research standards. These works reflect interdisciplinary collaborations and a translational focus on structural biology and immunotherapy.
Mentoring & Lab
The JAB Lab mentors PhD, undergraduate, and postdoc trainees, emphasizing wellness, diversity, and inclusion. Lab techniques include human cellular systems, mouse models, and structural biology.
