Jennifer A Schachner is a Lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at San José State University (SJSU). She holds a Bachelor of Science (2000) and Master of Arts (2002) in Kinesiology with a specialization in Adapted Physical Activity from SJSU, and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Kinesiology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, expected to graduate in 2018. Her teaching includes undergraduate courses such as Stress Management, Introduction to Kinesiology, and Taekwondo, alongside lab sessions focused on physical activity planning and therapeutic exercise.

Jennifer serves as Program and Operations Director at the Timpany Center, a therapeutic recreation facility partnered with SJSU. She has previously worked as a Program Manager for a corporate fitness company in Silicon Valley and as a senior fitness instructor at Foothill Community College.
