Jennie Popp

Jennie Popp serves as Associate Dean of the Honors College and Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Arkansas. She co-directs the Service Learning Initiative, establishing interdisciplinary programs in 150+ courses including community development projects in Belize. Her academic leadership includes developing the university's sustainability minor and graduate certificate programs.

Research examines environmental footprint reduction in dairy/swine production, specialty crop economics, and natural resource policy. Popp secured $20 million in external funding for projects on agricultural sustainability and resource-efficient food systems.

Honors include the Distinguished Faculty Award for mentoring undergraduate thesis research on women in agriculture and composting systems. She represents UCL on the KwaZulu Natal Research Institute for TB-HIV board and advises USDA's Farm and Ranch Advisory Committee.
