Dr Jenni Carter is a Lecturer and Research Degree Supervisor at UniSA Education Futures, University of South Australia. Her work focuses on curriculum development, literacy education, and the philosophy of education with an emphasis on social justice and marginalized communities. She has contributed to funded research projects such as the AusAID initiative addressing early childhood literacy in Fijian communities (2013–2015). Her research explores arts-based methodologies, youth engagement, and the role of education in fostering agency among disadvantaged groups.
Key areas of interest include literacy and English curriculum design, education policy analysis, and the politics of education. She collaborates with institutions like the Centre for Research in Educational and Social Inclusion (CRESI) and has edited publications on youth empowerment through creative practices.
