Jenna Starck

Jenna Starck is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise & Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She serves as Graduate Program Director, Adventure Education & Outdoor Pursuits Emphasis Director, and Adventure Education Program Director.

• Ph.D. in Kinesiology (Sport Pedagogy), The University of Alabama (2018)
• M.S. in Physical Education Teaching with an emphasis in Adventure Education and Outdoor Pursuits, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (2013)
• B.S. in Physical Education & Adapted Physical Education, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (2010)

Her research focuses on adventure education pedagogy, with particular emphasis on:

• Assessment literacy in physical education
• Social and emotional learning through outdoor pursuits
• Occupational socialization theory in professional development
