Jen-Chieh Peng

Jen-Chieh Peng is a Professor of Physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a PhD in Nuclear Physics from the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on nuclear and particle physics, including neutrino experiments (Daya Bay, SeaQuest) and fundamental interactions. He investigates helicity evolution of primordial neutrinos and pion partonic distributions using statistical models.

Recent work explores neutrino magnetic moments in astrophysical contexts and reactor antineutrino spectra. His publications show consistent focus on quantum chromodynamics and neutrino detection methodologies.

Honors include the Tom W. Bonner Prize (2023), Academia Sinica election (2022), and Breakthrough Prize (2016). He leads experiments in high-energy physics and mentors researchers in particle physics collaborations.
