Jelle Hendrix

Prof. dr. Jelle Hendrix is a Senior Lecturer at Hasselt University's Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences, Department of Neuroscience. He leads the Dynamic Bioimaging Lab and manages the Advanced Optical Microscopy Center core facility. His research focuses on advanced optical imaging techniques to study molecular mechanisms in neuroscience and structural biology, particularly protein dynamics and biomolecular interactions. He serves as Deputy Ombudsman and sits on the Examination Board for the Bachelor of Medicine program.

Research interests span multiple biophysical domains:

• G-protein coupled receptor mechanisms

Recent work demonstrates growing interest in integrating computational approaches with experimental biophysics to study protein phase separation and its role in disease pathologies.
