Jelena Hartšenko

Jelena Hartšenko is a Lecturer at the School of Business and Governance, Department of Business Administration at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) since 1998. She specializes in Business Analytics, Operations Management, and Entrepreneurship, with a focus on sustainability practices and health economics. Her career includes roles in statistical research, academic teaching, and administrative leadership.

• PhD Candidate in Economic Growth and Financial System Development (ongoing since 2002).
• Completed summer schools in Health Economics and Macroeconomics at Lisbon and Pompeu Fabra Universities.
• Recipient of grants including the Rein Otsason Fund Grant (2007) and Tallinn City’s Jaan Poska Stipend (2006).

Research interests span entrepreneurship education, sustainable business practices, and healthcare systems. Key projects include analyzing green transition motives in Estonia’s wood and metal industries, and global entrepreneurship trends. She has led over 40 publications, focusing on topics like occupational health, SME safety management, and post-secondary education impact.

Teaching responsibilities include courses on research methods, business analysis, and operations management. She co-founded XOFOTO OÜ and chairs administrative roles in academic sports clubs.
