Jeffrey Wayno is a part-time Lecturer in Columbia University's Core Curriculum and serves as Collection Services Librarian at Burke Library, part of Columbia University Libraries. He holds an A.B. from Princeton (History, 2007), an M.A. in Medieval Studies from University College London (2009), and a Ph.D. in medieval history from Columbia (2016). His research focuses on medieval Church institutions, papal authority, and communication history. He manages Burke Library's rare collections, including Greek papyri and medieval manuscripts, and supports faculty/students in religious and medieval studies research. Current projects explore premodern messengers as communication agents.

Labs/Teams: Oversees Burke Library's Ancient & Medieval and Papyrology & Epigraphy Reading Rooms, part of Columbia's extensive medieval collections infrastructure.
