Jeffrey Townsend is the Elihu Professor of Biostatistics and Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University, affiliated with the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) and the Department of Biostatistics. He holds secondary appointments in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. His research focuses on cancer evolution, epidemiological modeling, and bioinformatics, with contributions to understanding tumor progression, infectious disease dynamics, and public health interventions.
