معرفی
Jeffrey Testani, MD, MTR is a Professor of Medicine in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Director of Heart Failure Research and Co-Director of the Heart & Vascular Center Clinical Research. His clinical expertise focuses on advanced heart failure and translational research investigating cardiac-renal interactions, fluid homeostasis, and diuretic resistance. He leads a research program supported by NIH grants and industry partnerships, with established expertise in biomarker analysis using advanced techniques like mass spectrometry and multiplex protein assays.
Education: MD from University of Florida (2004), MS in Translational Research from University of Pennsylvania (2012). Fellowship training at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Cardiology (2005-2012).
Research focuses on mechanisms of diuretic resistance, cardio-renal syndrome, and novel therapies for heart failure. He leads clinical trials like the Mechanisms of Diuretic Resistance in Heart Failure (MsDR) study and the Ertugliflozin in Acute Heart Failure trial. Collaborators include leaders in nephrology (Veena Rao, Dennis G Moledina) and cardiology (Harlan Krumholz, Jeffrey Turner).
Key innovations include the implantable vena cava sensor (FUTURE-HF trial) and the Reprieve System for acute decompensation treatment. His work has produced over 500,000 biospecimens for heart failure research. Awards include NIH/NHLBI Loan Repayment Program and multiple peer-reviewed grant recognitions.
Leadership roles include editorial board membership for Journal of the American College of Cardiology Heart Failure and advisory roles for Boehringer Ingelheim. Active in clinical practice at Yale New Haven Hospital locations.
