Jeffrey Sposato is the Department Chair and Professor of Music History at Wayne State University since 2024. Previously, he served as Director of the School of Music and Interim Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and held positions at the Moores School of Music (University of Houston) and University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. His research focuses on Baroque, Classical, and Romantic music, sacred music, choral traditions, opera, and concert history.
