Jeffrey S Benson

Jeffrey S Benson is an Associate Professor at San José State University, where he serves as Director of Choral Activities and teaches courses in conducting and choral music. He holds a Ph.D. and Master of Music in Choral Conducting & Music Education from Florida State University, along with a B.S. in Music Education from New York University.

• Artistic Director of Peninsula Cantare community chorus (Palo Alto)

Dr. Benson specializes in choral conducting pedagogy, vocal performance techniques, and interdisciplinary music education. His choirs have collaborated with renowned artists like Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli, while also performing at prestigious venues such as The White House and Washington National Cathedral.
