Jeffrey Lehmkuhler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food and Animal Sciences at the University of Kentucky, where he has served since 2008 with a 100% extension appointment. Previously, he held similar roles at the University of Wisconsin, Madison (2001-2008) and Purdue University (1994-1996). His work focuses on beef cattle nutrition, mineral supplementation, and forage management, particularly in silvopastoral systems and yak husbandry.

As a member of the Beef Cattle Extension Team, he collaborates on applied research projects and delivers educational resources across the U.S. Midwest and internationally in Brazil and Canada. His work with silvopastoral systems and forage management has informed sustainable grazing practices.
