Jeffrey Greeley is the Charles and Nancy Davidson Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University's Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, joining in 2013. He holds a B.S. from the University of Texas-Austin (1997), a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2004), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Technical University of Denmark (2004–2006). His research focuses on first principles theories of interfacial science and catalysis, with key areas including heterogeneous catalysis (biomass conversion, nanoparticle-support interactions), electrocatalysis (fuel cells, electrocatalytic stability), and energy storage (next-gen battery materials). He leads the Greeley Research Group, collaborating with the Purdue Catalysis Center. Notable awards include the DOE Early Career Award (2011).

Research Interests: Greeley’s work combines ab initio calculations with thermodynamic/kinetic theories to predict catalytic and materials properties. His group explores nanoscale phenomena at material boundaries to design advanced energy technologies.
