Jeffrey Ely is the Charles E. and Emma H. Morrison Professor of Economics at Northwestern University, specializing in Microeconomic Theory, Game Theory, and Behavioral Economics. His work bridges theoretical rigor with real-world applications in information design and strategic decision-making.
Research focuses on information economics, mechanism design, and behavioral applications. Key projects include Screening With Tests for college admissions, Incentive-Compatible Information Design for bilateral trade, and the Natural Selection of Artificial Intelligence.
