معرفی
Jeffrey Bender, MD is the Robert I. Levy Professor of Medicine (Cardiovascular Medicine) and Professor of Immunobiology at Yale University. He holds roles as Associate Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine and Senior Vice Chief for Academic Development. His research focuses on inflammation, immunity, and vascular physiology, particularly integrin signaling in immune cells, estrogen receptor mechanisms, and metabolic syndrome effects on endothelial function. He has authored over 90 publications and holds awards from the AHA and Yale School of Medicine. His clinical expertise includes cardiology and vascular health, with a focus on women’s cardiovascular risks and translational therapies.
Education:
- MD, University of California, San Francisco (1979)
- Residency, Yale-New Haven Hospital (1982)
- Fellowship, Stanford University (1986)
- Research Fellowship, Stanford University (1988)
Research Interests: Inflammation and immunity in atherosclerosis, integrin-mediated mRNA stabilization, estrogen receptor signaling in endothelial cells, and metabolic syndrome-induced vascular dysfunction. His lab explores T cell/macrophage gene expression, angiogenesis, and therapeutic targets for cardiovascular diseases.
Awards:
- Young Investigator Award (1992)
