Jeff Zanzig is a Professor of Accounting at the Gregory D. Brown Department of Finance, Economics & Accounting within the College of Business and Industry at Jacksonville State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Mississippi, alongside advanced degrees in Accounting, Computer Systems and Software Design, and Business Administration. His professional certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified in Financial Management (CFM).
Dr. Zanzig’s research focuses on accounting, auditing, and information systems in financial contexts. His work bridges traditional accounting practices with modern data analytics and computer systems, reflecting his expertise in Accounting Information Systems and internal auditing frameworks. He is affiliated with the Center for Information Security and Assurance at Jacksonville State University.
He has authored numerous articles in accounting and auditing, earning recognition such as the 2006 Max Block Distinguished Article Award. His teaching portfolio includes Principles of Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Data Analytics, Auditing, Internal Auditing, and Accounting Information Analysis.

Dr. Zanzig serves as a faculty advisor for the Jacksonville Accounting Club and participates in the Accounting Faculty Scholarship Committee. He is based in Merrill Hall at Jacksonville State University.
