Jeff Nagy

Jeff Nagy is an Assistant Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Critical Data Studies in the Department of Communication & Media Studies at York University. He holds a PhD in Communication from Stanford University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa, bringing interdisciplinary perspectives to technology studies.

Nagy's research examines the historical intersections of computing, psychology, and disability studies, focusing on how technological systems mediate human labor and social relations. His work critically analyzes the political economy of platforms and algorithmic systems through frameworks integrating anti-racist and anti-ableist perspectives.
