Jeff Liebert is an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability (IRES) within the Faculty of Science at the University of British Columbia, co-supervised by Dr. Navin Ramankutty at UBC and Dr. Elena Bennett at McGill University.
His educational background includes:

Jeff's research integrates natural and social sciences to advance sustainable agri-food systems. His work spans dairy, grain, and fruit/vegetable systems across local to national scales, examining ecological dimensions like weed management and forage quality alongside sociocultural factors including farmer well-being and decision-making barriers. Current projects focus on multifunctional agriculture in Canada using machine learning to model cover cropping co-benefits and mixed-methods analysis of systemic lock-ins in food system transformation.
