Jeff Krepps

Jeff Krepps, PhD, is the Director of Behavioral Health Education and Associate Professor of Behavioral Health at Campbell University's School of Osteopathic Medicine. His work focuses on wellness and performance enhancement for medical students, healthcare professionals, and athletes. He specializes in mindfulness, clinical hypnosis, and the MAC approach to performance optimization.

Education:

• PhD in Family Therapy, Nova Southeastern University (with specialization in Medical Family Therapy)
• MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, Appalachian State University
• BS in Psychology, Virginia Commonwealth University

Research Interests: Dr. Krepps explores strategies for enhancing professional and athletic performance through mindfulness and contextual behavioral science. His work integrates family therapy principles with clinical practice in healthcare and sports settings. He emphasizes wellbeing interventions for medical trainees and mental health service delivery across diverse populations.

Experience & Roles: Previously served as Assistant Professor and Site Director at Pfeiffer University’s MFT program, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine. Served 12 years on the board of the North Carolina Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, including a 2-year term as President.

Clinical Expertise: Over 26 years of clinical experience in counseling individuals/families, medical trainees, athletes, and patients in settings including private practice, university clinics, and community mental health programs.
