Jeff K. Grim is an Assistant Professor in the Higher Education Program at George Mason University's School of Integrative Studies. His research focuses on organizational structures, policies, and practices in higher education, with an emphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland. His work bridges theoretical and empirical insights to drive equitable organizational change. Key research themes include student access and success, academic leadership, and the experiences of faculty and staff of color.
Jeff teaches courses such as HE 685: Internship in Higher Education, HE 706: Students in Higher Education, and HE 797: Capstone in Higher Education. His scholarship addresses first-generation college student challenges, pandemic adaptations, elite university admissions dynamics, and leadership identity development. He advocates for transformative models like the THESIS framework to empower change agents in higher education institutions.
