Dr. Jeff Fortuna is an Assistant Professor at the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology at McMaster University, serving as Program Chair for Power and Energy Engineering Technology. He is also an Associate Member of the McMaster School of Biomedical Engineering. His expertise spans software engineering technology, biomaterials, health technology, and Industry 4.0, with research interests in digital & smart systems, energy, and bio-innovation.
Fortuna teaches advanced courses in data analytics, machine learning, parallel programming, and neural networks. His instructional roles include leading courses such as SEP 6DA3 (Data Analytics and Big Data), SFWRTECH 4NN3 (Neural Networks and Deep Learning), and ENGTECH 1PR3 (Object-Oriented Programming).
His research and innovation activities are affiliated with the Booth Research and Innovation Cluster, focusing on applied engineering solutions in energy systems and smart technologies.
