Jeff Beekman is a Professor at Utrecht University, affiliated with the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU). On October 17, 2023, he delivered an invited lecture at the Groningen Research Institute for Asthma and COPD (GRIAC) during a specialized workshop for PhD students and postdocs.
His research centers on computational modeling of epithelial functions in lung disease, bridging respiratory medicine and quantitative biology. This focus drives investigations into pathological mechanisms of chronic pulmonary conditions through advanced simulation techniques.
