Jed T Elison is a Professor at the Institute of Child Development and Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain at the University of Minnesota. His research spans developmental neuroscience, autism spectrum disorders, and early brain development.
His primary research interests focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Brain Development, and Early childhood interventions. Key areas include Repetitive Behavior, Joint Attention, and High Risk infant populations, with significant work on neuroimaging biomarkers for autism prediction.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals a strong emphasis on longitudinal MRI studies, computational neuroimaging techniques, and developmental trajectories in neurodiverse populations. His work integrates behavioral assessments with advanced imaging to identify presymptomatic markers of autism.
Elison leads multiple NIH-funded projects including a longitudinal brain and behavior study of autism from infancy through adolescence and MRI-based presymptomatic prediction of ASD. His research portfolio includes 33 projects and 134 publications with significant external collaboration across institutions.
