Jeannine Chester is an Associate Professor of Practice and Associate Director of Onground MSW Practicum Education at Simmons University's School of Social Work, where she has been employed since 2022. She holds a Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (2022) and New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (2017) credentials. Her academic background includes an MSW from the University of Chicago (recipient of the Judith Rudolph Scholarship) and a BA from Fordham University.
Research Focus: Chester's work centers on educational policy, community relationships, and identity exploration to support youth transitions. Key interests include Macro Social Work, clinical intervention applications, Field Education as leadership training, and professional identity development. She integrates practice and theory through her telehealth therapy practice and academic roles.
Teaching & Professional Engagement: She teaches courses including Social Welfare Policy, Social Work in Communities/Organizations, Practicum Education, and Advanced Standing Seminar.
