Jeannie Kwon

Jeannie Kwon, M.D., M.B.A., M.S., is a Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern and serves as the Division Chief of Pediatric Radiology. She also holds the role of Chief Radiology Officer at Children’s Health. Her expertise spans pediatric imaging, particularly advancing ultrasound techniques to minimize radiation exposure in pediatric patients. Dr. Kwon completed her bachelor’s in biology at MIT, medical degree at Rutgers RWJMS, and advanced training in pediatric radiology at UT Southwestern. She has held leadership roles such as Associate Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and Director of Operations for the Division of General Pediatric Radiology.

Her research focuses on contrast-enhanced ultrasound and quantitative methods for evaluating pediatric liver diseases. Dr. Kwon is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology with additional certifications in Pediatric Radiology and Clinical Informatics. She actively contributes to professional societies including the Radiological Society of North America and the Society for Pediatric Radiology, where she chaired the Informatics Committee. She also reviews for Pediatric Radiology and Current Problems in Diagnostic Radiology.
