Jeanne Susan Teitelbaum serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine, based at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital). She holds dual leadership roles as Co-Director of the Acute Stroke Service and Program Director for Neurocritical Care, while also serving as active President of the Canadian Neurologic Sciences Federation (CNSF).

Dr. Teitelbaum's research centers on acute neurological injuries, with primary focus on ischemic strokes, sub-arachnoid hemorrhage, and brain hemorrhage. She investigates post-stroke immunological changes using rat models and studies recovery mechanisms, while also developing interventions for vasospasm in subarachnoid hemorrhage and intracerebral hemorrhage expansion. Her work bridges clinical neurology, critical care, and translational neuroscience within the Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Group.
Recognized as a distinguished lecturer, she has received numerous teaching awards and published over 60 scientific articles. Her clinical leadership drives stroke awareness initiatives and shapes neurocritical care protocols at The Neuro, where she actively contributes to both patient care and academic training programs.
