Jeanne Matich-Maroney

Dr. Jeanne Matich-Maroney is a Professor of Social Work and Chair of the Social Work Department at Iona University. She also serves as Director of the Office of Interprofessional Education and HRSA BHWET Project Director. Her roles include Undergraduate Social Work Program Director and Undergraduate Social Work IPE Faculty Liaison. Dr. Matich-Maroney holds a Ph.D., MSW, and BS from New York University's Silver School of Social Work, and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-R).

Her research focuses on trauma's impact on individuals with intellectual disabilities, innovative pedagogical strategies in social work education, and program evaluation. Dr. Matich-Maroney's work bridges clinical practice, education, and community-based program evaluation.

Advising & Grants: Leads outcome assessment initiatives for the Social Work Program and campus-wide core curriculum. Oversees the Center for Social Research, conducting evaluations in drug/alcohol prevention programs. Current roles include leadership in interprofessional education initiatives and national disability curriculum development.
