Jean Wu is a Senior Lecturer in Chinese Language and serves as Chinese Flagship Academic Director and Program Coordinator at the East Asian Languages department within the School of Global Studies and Languages at the University of Oregon. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Michigan State University and an MA in Foreign Languages from West Virginia University.
Research Focus: Second language acquisition, pragmatics, comparative syntax, and L2 curriculum development. Her work emphasizes Chinese language pedagogy and the integration of cultural training in language education.
