Jean Sienkewicz is a Senior Lecturer and Practicum Education Coordinator at the University of Vermont's College of Education and Social Services, Department of Social Work. She co-chairs the New England Consortium of Field Directors (NECON) and is actively involved in social work education and community practice.

Jean specializes in generalist social work practice and practicum education, emphasizing trust-building, relationship facilitation, and amplifying historically marginalized voices. Her research focuses on transforming field education landscapes in social work, informed by her 15 years of community practice experience in non-profits like Vermont CARES and the Pride Center of Vermont.
Her recent work trends include critical and philosophical approaches to social justice in social work education, reflecting her doctoral studies in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (EdD Program) at UVM. In 2024, she participated in the University of Calgary's Transforming the Field Education Landscape (TEFL) Field Research Scholars program.
