Jean-Pierre Ockerman

Jean-Pierre Ockerman is a Belgian Professor of Piano and Music History at the Brussels Academy of Music, and a lecturer at the Brussels Conservatory since 2004. A graduate of the Royal Conservatories of Mons and Brussels, he has conducted prestigious ensembles like the RTBF Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Belgium, earning acclaim for his musical sensitivity and artistic fervor in opera and choral conducting.

He has directed choirs such as 'les chantres de Notre-Dame,' 'Corale San Francesco,' and 'Chorale Musica,' while championing European cultural preservation and mentoring young conductors through initiatives like 'la Camera Lirica.'
