Ivana Mirović is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, specializing in Choir Conducting. She holds a Master's degree from the Faculty of Music Arts, University of Belgrade, and has extensive experience in choral and orchestral performance. Her career includes roles as assistant conductor of the Choir of Macedonian Opera and conductor of the Niš Chamber Choir, which she led to numerous international accolades. She currently serves as artistic director and conductor of the Women’s Choir of Students at the Cultural Centre in Niš.
Education:
- 1976: MA in Music Theory and Choral Conducting, Faculty of Music Art, St. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje
- 2006: Postgraduate Studies in Conducting, Faculty of Music Arts, University of Belgrade
Research and Performance:
- Expertise in a cappella and vocal-instrumental music, specializing in works by Bruckner, Verdi, Pergolesi, Maksimović, and Mokranjac
- Conducted operas including Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck) and La Clemenza di Tito (Mozart), and operettas such as Die Fledermaus (Strauss)
- Collaborated with Niš Symphony Orchestra, Army Orchestra Niš, and Chamber Orchestra Constantinus
Awards:
- Recipient of prestigious choral festival prizes in Macedonia, Bulgaria, Poland, Greece, and Serbia
