Jean-Pierre Gattuso is a CNRS Research Director at the Laboratoire d'Océanographie de Villefranche (LOV), affiliated with Sorbonne University. His career spans over four decades in oceanography, focusing on coral reefs, carbon cycle dynamics, and climate change impacts. He transitioned from tropical coral research in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Australia to temperate ecosystems in the Mediterranean and North Sea.
