معرفی
Aurelie Moya is a Research Fellow at James Cook University (JCU), affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies. Her research focuses on coral molecular biology, specifically symbiosis dynamics, calcification mechanisms, and environmental stress impacts. She holds a PhD from the Scientific Centre of Monaco (2007) and previously served as a Lecturer at the University of Nice (2007-2009). She was awarded a Marie Curie Outgoing International Fellowship (2009), enabling collaborative work between JCU and UPMC-CNRS laboratories.
Her research examines coral holobiont function under global changes, employing genomic and molecular techniques. Key areas include ocean acidification effects, heat stress responses, and evolutionary adaptations. Her work bridges fundamental biology with applied conservation, addressing reef resilience through molecular insights. Notable contributions include studies on calcification-genomics linkages and symbiont communication under stress.
- Education: PhD in Marine Biology, Scientific Centre of Monaco (2004-2007)
- Awards: Marie Curie Fellowship (2009)
- Collaborations: Prof. Denis Allemand (Monaco), Prof. David Miller (JCU)
Her publications span coral transcriptomics, symbiotic interactions, and climate change physiology, contributing to both basic science and conservation strategies for marine ecosystems.
