Jean-Philippe Baudouin

Jean-Philippe Baudouin serves as a researcher at the University of Tübingen's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences within the Department of Geo- and Environmental Sciences. He is affiliated with the Geo- and Environmental Research Center (GUZ) and works in the PalMod project, which focuses on modeling climate evolution across the last glacial cycle (120,000 years). His research investigates synoptic-to-interannual climate variability transitions from the Last Glacial Maximum to the Holocene, with implications for current climate warming.

His scientific endeavors span two major projects: PalMod, where he develops model-data comparison tools, and his earlier PhD work with the TwoRains group studying climate change impacts on the Indus Civilization (~4,000 years ago). His research interests include extratropical synoptic activity, climate variability modes, and large-scale teleconnections in paleoclimatic contexts.
