Jean-Francois Rouillard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Sherbrooke since 2012. His research focuses on business cycles, open economy macroeconomics, real estate in macroeconomics, and monetary policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Queen's University, with a thesis titled National and International Business Cycles: The Role of Financial Frictions and Shocks.
He is a member of the Groupe de Recherche en Economie et Développement International (GREDI) and maintains an active research profile with publications in journals like Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and Canadian Journal of Economics. His work explores topics such as fiscal multipliers, wage rigidities, housing tax policies, and economic recovery strategies post-pandemic.
