Professor Jean Burgess is a leading scholar in digital media studies, holding positions as Distinguished Professor of Digital Media at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Associate Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society (ADM+S). She is affiliated with the Digital Media Research Centre (DMRC) and School of Communication at QUT. Her work focuses on the social implications of digital platforms, algorithmic culture, and innovative digital methods.
