Jean Beers is a British-German Professor at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK), where she founded the Ensemble Improvisation Experimentell and created a "safe space" for composer-performer collaboration. She holds a PhD in Composition from King's College London (2018 monograph Ambiguity in Music), a postgraduate concert diploma from Hanover, and degrees from Royal Academy of Music, Conservatoire de Luxembourg, and Cologne University of Music.
