Jayne Gold is an Assistant Professor of Theatre Education and Theatre Arts at Utah State University, with a focus on bridging academia and community engagement. Her work spans diverse populations, from infants to older adults, and emphasizes theatre as a tool for social change.
She has contributed to publications in the International Journal of Heritage Studies and has a forthcoming chapter in the book Applied Theatre with Urban Youth, Witnessing Change. Her research trends highlight interdisciplinary approaches in applied theatre, cultural heritage preservation, and community-based performance initiatives.
Dr. Gold has held academic roles at prestigious institutions such as the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She earned her doctorate from the University of Bristol, where her research explored the theatrical history of Brecon, Wales.
